Rare and probably the only test of "Pantagruelian Tales".
The work dates from 1903 before the addition of Jules Clarettie's preface and illustrations by Edmond Malassis.
The text, printed in Gothic characters is included in frames foliage, different from those of the edition marketed in 1905.
Bound in brown half morocco with corners, back with four double nerves decorated with a typographic mosaic pattern of green morocco, boards, guards and contreplats of marbled paper, gilded head, binding signed Trinckvel.

Our copy is enriched with two autograph letters signed from Arthur Christian to Jules Claretie concerning the edition of the book and the preface he made for the edition published in 1905.
Finally, he was mounted on tab a game of the first test of the preface of Jules Claretie.
