Born in Spain, Eduardo Garcia Benito first became known as a commercial artist including working with printers like Alfred Tolmer in 1913 or in 1916. Another Draeger illustrator Georges Lepape, working at the same time for Draeger, while drawing parallel fashion plates for the Gazette du Bon tone; it is for this same magazine that Benito working hand after producing vignettes where slender female bodies embody the creations of Jeanne Lanvin, Beer or Larsen.
