    Contemporary Bradel binding in half vellum-style paper boards, smooth spine slightly sunned and decorated with a central gilt ornament, marbled paper covers, wrappers preserved.

    Fine signed autograph inscription by Binet-Valmer: "à Claude Farrère son admirateur, à Charles Bargonne, son ami reconnaissant, Binet-Valmer."

    First edition, one of 25 numbered copies on Holland paper, the only deluxe copies after 1 Japan.
    Half blue morocco with corners, smooth spine decorated with a gilt cartouche embellished with gilt arabesques, gilt fillets framing the marbled paper boards, marbled endpapers and pastedowns, top edge gilt retaining its deckled edges, original wrappers and spine preserved, contemporary binding signed by Capelle.
    Occasional foxing affecting the margins of certain leaves.

    Precious autograph signed Binet-Valmer Augustus Gilbert Neighbors for that book dedicated to the mother of dedicatee Countess Gilbert Neighbors: "A brother Augusto milk, Gustave."
    Provenance: the Augustus Gilbert library with its black neighbors initial tail back.
    Rare and pleasant nicely drawn copy.
