    Spine soiled, red stains to right margin of front cover, back cover marginally soiled.
    Autograph inscription dated and signed by Emmanuel d'Astier to Carlo Rim: "Pour Carlo Rim après 25 années et un échange de souvenirs dans la symparhie d'As." ["For Carlo Rim after 25 years and an exchange of memories in the sympathy of As."]
    Carlo Rim, author of "Ma belle Marseille", was a Provençal writer, caricaturist and filmmaker and friend of Fernandel, Raimu and Marcel Pagnol as well as André Salmon and Max Jacob.
