New edition of the Satires of Persia translated, commented and annotated by Nicolas Selis. Vintage cardboard. Green back paper adorned with casters corners. Flat black paper. Part of title in red morocco. It is, according to Brunet: "One of the best translations of Persia" (Brunet IV, 522). Nicolas-Joseph Selis (1737-1802), writer and professor at Louis-le-Grand College, replaced Delille, which he was bound, in the chair of Latin poetry of the College de France in 1796. Satire Each is then presented Annotated.
