A very popular Ottoman didactic poem on the life of the Prophet Muhammad composed in the 15th century. It enjoyed wide success as far as Russia and was several times the subject of commentary. This general treatise on Islam deals primarily with the life of Muhammad, but also the first caliphs, Creation, and the Last Judgment, reflecting a Sunnism imbued with Sufism.
