New edition of the French translation.
Bound at the end of this volume are the following two texts:
- Relation du Nouvel Archipel Septentrional, discovered recently by the Russians in the seas of Kamchatka and Anadir. By Mr. J. Staehlin. Translated into English from the original German, and from English into French.
- Account of the singular adventures of four Russian travellers who were cast away on the desert island of Eastern Spitzbergen, with some observations on the productions of this island. By M.P.L. Le Roy. Translated into English from the original German at the request of several members of the Royal Society of London, and from English into French.
- Contemporary binding in half tan sheep, spine with gilt decorative rules and typographic motifs now fading, marbled paper boards, some wear to edges, marbled edges.
