Handsome autograph inscription signed from the author to Colonel Rémy.
André Malraux recovered this copy from a previous dedicatee, whose name (but not signature) he erased in order to re-inscribe it with this handsome new inscription from one Compagnon de la Libération to another: "Pour Rémy, en souvenir de collaborations variées, bien amicalement. André Malraux. Février 48. [To Rémy in memory of our various collaborations, with best wishes. André Malraux. February 48]."
Richly illustrated.
Spine slightly sunned, but retaining dust jacket.
