First edition, one of 20 numbered copies on Arches paper reserved for the “XX” bibliophiles club, the tirage de tête along with 10 copies reimposed on Van Gelder. Very elegant red morocco by Canape, spine in six compartments with tiny insignificant scratch to centre, date to foot, gilt roulettes to head- and tail-pieces, double gilt fillets to edges of covers, gilt fillet frame to khaki morocco pastedowns, red silk endpapers, double covers and spine preserved, top edge gilt, slipcase edged with red morocco and lined with beige felt. Signed by the author on justification page. Ex-libris pasted to verso of first silk endpaper. A fine copy in a superb lined binding by Canape.
