First Edition, one of 109 numbered copies on laid Lafuma Navarre and reimposed format in-quarto tellière, head print. Nice copy. Binding half morocco, back with nerves, marbled paper plates, guards and contreplats of paper, covers and back preserved, binding signed P. Goy & C. Vilaine. Our copy is enriched by an autograph letter dated June 20, 1955 and signed by a page and a half of Albert Cohen in which he informs his correspondent of the improvement of his health. Still recovering, he nevertheless regrets not being able to be present in Brussels while the Minister of Foreign Affairs was to decorate him with the tie of Commander of the Order of Leopold II that he recently awarded the King of the Belgians. He still hopes to meet his interlocutor in Paris but without his wife who is professionally retained in Geneva at the International Labor Office. Finally Albert Cohen asks his correspondent to greet Mrs. EA Alphandéry, René Cassin and Edmond Fleg for his good feelings.
