Contributions by Eugène Muller, Champfleury, François Coppée, Paul Féval and Charles Yriarte notably, drawings by Karl Bodmer, Gustave Doré and Cham among others, engravings by Chapon and Méaulle in particular. Review illustrated with numerous full-page engravings in black and white, as well as folding plates. Le Monde illustré is a weekly news journal published from 1847 to 1940 and from 1945 to 1956, it was directed notably by Paul Dalloz and Charles Yriarte.
