Contributions by Amédée Achard, Eugène Muller, Champfleury, François Coppée, Paul Féval and Charles Yriarte notably, drawings by Gustave Doré and Cham in particular, engravings by Chapon and Méaulle among others. Review illustrated with numerous full-page black and white engravings, some double-page engravings, as well as a large folding plate. Le Monde illustré is a weekly news journal published from 1847 to 1940 and from 1945 to 1956, it was directed notably by Paul Dalloz and Charles Yriarte.
