Contributions by Gustave Aimard, Charles Baudelaire, Alexandre Dumas, Paul Féval and Charles Yriarte among others, drawings notably by Cham, Gustave Doré and Edmond Morin. Magazine illustrated with numerous full-page black and white engravings. Le Monde illustré was a weekly news journal published from 1847 to 1940 and from 1945 to 1956, directed notably by Paul Dalloz and Charles Yriarte.
