Volume complete with its volume title page; each issue contains eight pages. Contributions by Gustave Aimard, Charles Baudelaire, Paul Féval, Méry, and Charles Yriarte among others, drawings by Cham, Gustave Doré and Edmond Morin among others. Review illustrated with numerous full-page black and white engravings, as well as several double-page ones. Le Monde illustré is a weekly news journal published from 1847 to 1940 and from 1945 to 1956, notably directed by Paul Dalloz and Charles Yriarte.
