Volume complete with its title page for the volume; each issue contains eight pages. Contributions by Gustave Aimard, Joseph Doucet, Alexandre Dumas, Paul Féval and Méry among others, drawings by Cham, Gustave Doré and Edmond Morin notably. Review illustrated with numerous full-page black and white engravings, as well as several double-page spreads. Le Monde illustré is a weekly news journal published from 1847 to 1940 and from 1945 to 1956, directed notably by Paul Dalloz and Charles Yriarte.
