The writer has added his signature in red ink at the bottom of the print.
The portrait is housed in a charming frame, unfortunately showing some tears and cracks, under a mat covered with pink tapestry.
We could only find two examples of this photograph: one, uninscribed, at the Musée Gustave Moreau and another, bearing an inscription, catalogued during the sale of J. C. D's library, a Norman collector, in 2005.
