The regicide would be the culmination of a vast conspiracy seeking to establish the pope's power to the detriment of the king's. Internally very fresh despite a little spotting. This edition was published only two years after the original in Berlin. This first edition in French, translated by Charles Bénard, at first had very little impact, before becoming one of the foundations of the modern philosophy of art. Very rare in its original covers.
