Trained at the Humbert workshop alongside Braque, Picabia or Laurencin, Georges Lepape started working for Paul Poiret in 1910. Two years later, he was invited to participate in the Gazette du Bon tone by founder Lucien Vogel and becomes the appointed illustrator of the achievements of Poiret.



His linear style accompanied brightly highlights the curves while registering harmoniously into the decor - we will think of cherries or the Lemons . It also illustrates in achieving boards of accessories, creating dynamic and colorful ensembles like the tapes , for example.

After World War II, while Charles Martin replaces the Gazette for the creations of Poiret, Lepape reproduced his side those of Lanvin, while working in parallel to Vogue.
