Alexandrine quatrain autograph signed poem by the poet Gustave Rivet entitled "Amoroso" which he dedicated to Rodolphe Salis, patron of the famous Montmartre cabaret "Le Chat noir" and creator of the weekly publication of the same name.
The poem (two quatrains and two tercets, 17 lines in black ink on one leaf), will appear in an 1887 issue of the magazine "Le Sylphe" under the title "Sonnet renaissance":
"Amoroso
A Rodolphe Salis
De cette heure de joie et d'extase inconnue
Veuillent les Dieux puissants avancer le retour,
Et me donner encor l'enchantement du jour
Où dedans mon logis ma maîtresse est venue.
