Two edition were published simultaneously with the same collation, at the Hotel de Thou and this, arguably the privilege was given to two editors for this first edition; it is illustrated with a portrait frontispiece of the author by Louis-Joseph Duplessi engraved by Nicolas de Launay; some head and tail lamps on wood. Paperback copy undercover waiting pale pink back with the handwritten title. Half-title page torn up and some foxing; shortages in mind, otherwise good copy. Important work that stimulus differences and deep antagonism between Necker (Minister of Finance) and its successor Calonne, and seems to continue their correspondence published in 1787; this text eighteen chapters mark a turning point in the writings of Necker economist far focused exclusively on "the political advantage of the State"; Indeed, the author focuses more specifically on the links between religion and sovereignty, and moral philosophy. Is attached a handwritten letter in which the author - the Abbot of Boismont - seems to condemn strongly the role of pastor, true God in the eyes of his followers. --- Please note that the translation in english is done automatically, we apologize if the formulas are inaccurate.
