Can we reconcile the antique bookshop and Internet?

The question arises for the entire art market on Internet. This universe of infinite reproducibility may be a vehicle of a art pieces, unique by definition? Can the book, testimony and physical representation of our written heritage, find his place in this informal, ephemeral world, dedicated to instant communication?

Reading, and, what is more, reading a valuable book, must be like tasting an old wine, and, like him, requires time to assess its texture, the original special nature of that book, first edition of Les Fleurs du Mal or Une Saison en Enfer, or that other, inscribed by Victor Hugo to his lover Juliette Drouet. A time to savor the history of the work and a time to reach his soul.

It is this unique object, the antique book, we want to guide through the uncertain waves of the Net to your library!

So we tried to combine the atmosphere of our Parisian bookshop and international energy web, the pleasure of "hunting" and the effectiveness of the research. The seller's guidance and the freedom of the Internet.

So you will not find any ticker on the site, no imposed music, no unwanted solicitation, but rigorous description of the 30,000 books with many detailed photographs.

Bibliophiles, scholars, collectors, researchers, or simply booklovers ... We want to create a bookshop, available for each type of need:

- You perfectly know what you want? Our search engine is associated with a refining performance results.

- You know especially what you like? To our categories we have added a catalog of original themes.

- You just know you want to offer a unique and precious gift? Our "Offer an antique book" page is a selection of quality works selected in each area and in every price range.

- You think nothing can replace the advice of the bookseller? Through our online support or phone support, we are always available to help you and guide you.

- And if you want to know the value of what you have: our online valuation service is easy and free, and we provide firm and honest purchase proposals.

- Finally, as everyone needs to have confidence in the seriousness and professionalism of a bookseller: Member of SLAM and ILAB-LILA, the library ensures on invoice the authenticity of all works acquired on its website and accept returns for refund, of any work which does not give complete satisfaction.

- If you still can not find among our 30,000 books the one you want: our alert service will automatically notify you as soon as we have it.

Is it enough to justify the participation of an Parisian antique bookstore to the World Wide Web?

It's anyway the ambition of Edition-Originale.com. Created fifteen years ago, we have improved it every year to offer you a more enjoyable experience, always in the spirit of our bookstore . Thus Edition-Original.com has become the largest and most successful independent bookseller website for antique books.

However, we remain above all bookseller, we publish eight catalogs pro year and offer daily new rare and valuable books in all fields of knowledge within our shop of antique books near the Jardin du Luxembourg, in the heart of Paris. For centuries, the great literary and artistic effervescence of Paris attracted artists and writers from around the world, helping to make the City of Light one of the largest centers of the international art market and prestige books.

Comment faire ? Bien cordialement à vous.
