Rome 1824, 9,7x13cm, une feuille sous marie-louise.

Original portrait in pencil of Adolphus of Lepel (1783-1847), signed AG, 1825, Rome
Drawing depicting Adolphus de Lepel, a member of the Pomeranian nobility, brother of Count Friedrich Wilhelm de Lepel (1774-1840), general and aide-de-camp to Prince Henry of Prussia since 1813. Adolphus went to Rome as his brother The long stay of Prince Henry at Rome. Present in the post-Napoleonic artistic circles between Berlin and Rome, he made this portrait in 1825 by an artist probably supported by the Prussian nobility present in Italy at the beginning of the XIXth century.
