Bound in full morocco long grain lemon, brown back eight nerves for ornate decorative motifs romantic having faded, part of red morocco, name of the author of olive morocco, gilt on the covers, rich frames wheels of edgings, wreaths and gilt fillets on covers, gilt edged headers and foot sections, with golden frames on the guards, guards and contreplats brown paper, all edges gilt, modern morocco case lined with garland lemon boards of coated paper bowl, romantic contemporary binding. Precious autograph signed by the author: "... evidence of dedication and respect / nephew / Alfred de Vigny." Rare spots affecting mainly the earliest and latest pages.
