First illustrated edition of this anthology of poems by Victor Hugo collected by Pierre-Jules Hetzel under the pseudonym PJ Stahl, original edition's preface Sthal. Cardboard in full green buckram publisher, first dish decorated with a custom black and gold plate signed A. Souze representative holding a child by strings each letter of the book title and author's name, decorated back caissons golden hinges and caps restored second dish with black central rosette to figure Hetzel signed Engel & Son, gilt edges. Signed autograph Victor Hugo Cecile Daubray: "To my lovely little Cosette ... April 3, 1878." An original photograph postcard size Cecile Daubray dressed as Cosette, presented in matte board and frame wooden stick. A copy of the first two pages of Paris-Portrait number 265 in the sixth year as of June 13, 1878 shown in front of an original photoglyptie Lemercier post a picture of Cecilia Daubray Carjat representative in the role of Cosette. Biographical notes on the back of the actress signed Felix Jahyer. 3 clippings dedicated to Cecilia Daubray When creating drama adapted from Les Misérables by Victor Hugo in 1878 at the Porte Saint-Martin is joined Cecile Daubray was the first interpreter of the role of Cosette. She later became the associate of Paul Meurice and Gustave Simon and had only completed the work of the two executors of the great poet.
