New edition, decorated with a frontispiece engraved by L. Cars after C. Natoire, headbands, tail-lamp and initials engraved by Nicolas Cochin and L. Cars from Natoire and Bouché.
The text is written in a beautiful red border.
Contemporary binding in full fair calf chipped. Back with five ornate coffered and gilded florets nerves, as well as a piece of golden leather. Triple net gold bezel of the boards. Fine golden lace coaching contreplats. All marbled edges.
Tail cap with rugged partially missing half, showing the headband in scrappy game. Two corners bumped.
Beautiful copy wide-margined kept in an elegant contemporary binding.
