New edition, illustrated with a portrait on the frontispiece and 10 inserts on steel by Johannot, Geoffroy. Translation by Amédé Pichot.
Binding in half glazed navy calf, signed in tail (illegible signature). Smooth back decorated with a long mirror iron with central ornament. Golden title and number. Fillets of separation on the boards. Very beautiful marbled paper, blue, white and gold. Golden head. Some blunt corners. Slight traces of friction. Superbly fresh, uncropped paper, completely free of freckles (except in the margins of some engravings due to the snakes that have not been removed); rare condition.
