New edition. Reprint of the text with the date of 1886 on the title page, year of the first illustrated in the cartonnage "aux 2 éléphants". GU catalog in fine.
Editor's cartonnage says "To the glued portrait". first board called "A la mappemonde" signed Paul Souze and Lenègre, bookbinder. Back to the lighthouse. Second flat type Lenègre. Sky blue guards.
Superb first plate, with beautiful red and brilliant golds. A white dot in the cartridge. A thin comma in the portrait. Tiny spots in the sky. Coins slightly folded. Sagging headdresses. Net back well. Small halo in the title cartridge. Nice second board, but with a slight hitch and 2 meager scratches. Volume perfectly homogeneous and solidary. Very rare rare foxinges.
Overall a very nice copy.
