New edition, illustrated with 41 engravings and a map to From the Earth to the Moon by De Montaut and engraved by Pannemaker, and 40 engravings by Bayard and neuville engraved by Hildibrand. 4 chromolithographies by Roux From the Earth to the moon, and 4 around the moon.
Cardboard called "golden globe" type 3 in one piece, and the second flat Engel h.
Beautiful blaque first, very clear and bright with light soiling in the sky to the right of Jules Verne cartridge, and a small white spot under the N around the moon. Rubbed a blunt corner. Corners slightly folded. Headdresses and rubbed folded. Back in good condition. Second flat with two small but well-scraped areas. Internal hinge playing somewhat. Fresh copy, free of foxing. Nice copy overall.
mythical titles of science fiction author, rare in this carton. In the first novel of this diptych, the Gin Club Baltimore, after the War of Secession, trying to send to the moon men in a shell. In Around the Moon: Three men from a cannon into a shell to the moon. We know how the imagination based on scientific knowledge of Jules Verne will prescient and it will inspire many artists.
