Charles DICKENS

Sketches by Boz : illustrative of every-day life, and every-day people

John Macrone, London 1837, In-8 (12x19,3cm), 307pp. et 302pp., 2 volumes reliés.

Collected original first edition bringing together for the first time the first part and the second part which were previously published in the course of the year 1837. Impression on vellum tinted.
English binding of the late nineteenth in full blond calf. Back with nerves adorned with boxes. Pieces of red morocco title, pieces of red morocco tomaison. Framing with complex shapes on the boards. Brown marbled paper case with havana morocco borders. Some small brown dots on the back, otherwise, superb copy with immaculate paper, a perfect freshness, which is of great rarity for the works of Dickens, including engravings.
