First Edition of this historic landmark paper entry into politics intellectuals. It is attached to some number of Dawn "ephemeral" satirical and political leaflets distributed by "belligerent" evidence of the virulence of the reactions to the article by Zola and the political and social upheaval caused by this position considered on a case after the botched trial of Esterhazy, as close: - Snakes and Ladders: the Dreyfus Affair and Truth. Premium offered with the newspaper Dawn (1898). - Authentic Testament Dreyfus (February 1898) - Official Emile Zola (March 1898) Testament; - Holographic and final Testament of the Dreyfus Affair (1899). - The story of a traitor - Lament of Devil's Island (1898) From this publication, "bookstore sidewalk" (in the words of J.-Y Mollier) seizes the Case and Paris was filled with these printed from more than 10,000 copies, which now, because of their fragility and their destinations (cupboards, leaflets, newspapers ...) have all but disappeared. The editorial Zola and the trial that followed, without which Dreyfus would probably never been rehabilitated, marked a turning point in the history of political engagement of intellectuals and media use as cons- power. If courage Zola is inspired by the great political positions of Victor Hugo, the historical significance of his gesture is mainly due to its unusual consequences: Review of trial, public denunciation of anti-Semitism of military power, the creation of The League of rights. The Fourth Estate has acquired its letters of nobility! Our set is presented in a case-shirt: black back grief and flat plexiglass shirt, black canvas and frame plates of plexiglass for the case. Inside the latter, each document is protected as a removable plastic liner for the first two documents; other, smaller, being preserved under sized shirts on one of the dishes of the main shirt. Light foxing on marginal number of Dawn, small angular gaps on the Game of the Goose and the official Testament of Emile Zola. Single set.
