Rare and genuine posthumous first edition of the first six books following the Confessions will be published only in 1789. Several other editions appeared simultaneously with it but work in connection with the comments published in the June 1782 Journal Swiss show although this separate edition called "large print" is the first (F. Michaux "the first edition of the first part of the" Confessions "of Rousseau" in Literary History of France Revue , 35th Year, No. 2 (1928), pp. 250-253).
Binders of the time in half brown sheepskin, back smooth decorated with gilded nets and double florets, blue paper boards. Some very clever restorations to the back very slightly wrinkled, without gravity.
Nice copy of this founding text of the autobiographical genre, set in a contemporary binding.
