Furne & Lacroix, Verboeckhoven et Cie, Paris 1841 - 1866, In-8 (16,5x23,8cm), 19 volumes reliés.

Meeting of the complete works published by Furne for the first time from 1840 to 1844. This edition, originally published in deliveries, was checked and corrected by Hugo himself. It was to first form only 12 volumes (which are found alone most often); later on it was added volume 9 bis, where Ruy Blas is reprinted, and the 3 volumes of the Rhine afterwards. Furne had bought the bookstore Renduel, the first publisher of the complete works of Hugo from 1832 to 1836, in the state of the writings of Hugo then.
