Binding half morocco navy with corners, back with five nerves decorated with gilded nets set with double ornate gilded coffered typographical motifs, golden tail date coaching gilded nets on marbled paper plates, guards and contreplats of handmade paper , gilded head, wrappers and back preserved and bound in (slightly dated back), gilded head, perfect binding signed Devauchelle.
Precious and exceptional autograph signed by Ferdinand de Lesseps to Fabre: "To the French, Ferdinand de Lesseps, testimony of profound respect, Ferdinand Fabre".
Provenance: the Gryse Georges library with his bookplate pasted on a guard.
Very nice copy elegantly established by Roger Devauchelle and an illustrious provenance.
