Binding half blue morocco, spine thinned with five nerves decorated with the golden initials of great bibliophile Roger Cormenin is repeated five times, slightly split bit ahead, marbled paper plates, guards and contreplats of handmade paper, gilded head, Binding slightly later.
Text preceded by a study of the habits and customs of Paris in the sixteenth century by Alfred Franklin.
Illustrated work a double plank frontispiece.
Provenance: the library Cormenin Roger, son of Louis de Cormenin who was the confidant and secretary of Théophile Gautier and also a close friend of Gustave Flaubert.
