Second edition in the partly original, rare. The original was published in Paris in 1723, the author dissatisfied with his work proposed this revised and expanded second edition of the second part, the draft Suplémant priced size in which he answers the objections of his critics.
Full speckled brown sheepskin time. Back with five nerves richly decorated with jewels and gold boxes, as part of morocco blond. Gilt on cups and caps wheels. All slices speckled red. Head cap threadbare, first nerve very slightly apparent at the joint, a little work to affect the last box and the tail of the lower jaw plate.
Important work in which the author describes the innovative idea of a tax system that is supposed to contain both begging and enrich the state and individuals. The theories developed by Castel in this text are a first approach to solutions that will be works by the physiocrats Turgot under the ministry.
The spelling of the volume is very surprising: it reflects the revolutionary ideas of the abbot, who wanted to reform the French spelling phonetically.
