French Edition due to the translation of D.Bernouilli, who was a friend and colleague of Euler. Full mottled calf period. Back tooled raised. Tail wheels. Part of title in red morocco, and volume number in black morocco. A slight gap at the top of Volume II. Friction. Euler (1707-1783) was considered by his peers as the greatest mathematician of his time. He remains a key figure in the history of mathematics as his contributions are rich and varied. The algebra elements consist of two parts, the analysis and the analysis determined indefinite. Endnotes contained additions Lagrange on fractions.
