Mathematical notebook of an Angevin student
Binding
The College of the Oratory of Angers operates as a municipal institution, it is the college of the city body, opposed to the college of university. In the 17th century the college was attended by 1000 to 1200 students. The oratorians of Angers were above all teachers. From 1680, the college of Anjou is a large scientific establishment. The class of mathematics founded in 1681 is one of the great foci of mathematics of the oratory, and most of the great mathematicians of the Oratory taught in Angers. The teaching broadcast is well in phase with scientific news, it is aimed at schoolchildren who have completed their normal studies.
