A treatise on different types of fever (hectic, erratic, ?plague-like) and – what's more unusual – on the circulation of the blood. William Harvey gave a full description of the circulation of blood in 1628; this treatise thus comes in the wake of, and at the time of, the great discoveries on the blood. Galen placed the origin of blood in the liver and this view was not challenged before the 16th century.
