First edition, very rare and sought after. The edition was made by subscription and volumes appeared from 1754 to 1760, Brunet I, 387: "Work completed scholarship." Full period calf. Spine ribbed decorated with boxes blossomed. Some scuffs. Good practices. The first volume contains the history of the Celtic language and etymological description of cities, rivers, mountains, etc ..., the second and third volumes contain the first and second part of the Dictionary. Bullet was a historian and theologian who exerted all his life at the University of Besançon which he became at the end of her life Dean. His memoirs on the Celtic language made him famous among scientists and scholars. He later confirmed his talents as a researcher publishing his historical research on the playing cards.
