First Edition. translation of François de Maucroy. Full Calf frozen contemporary. Back tooled raised. Caps restored. Asterius or Astere was bishop of Saint Amasie in Pontus in the fourth century, we have him sermons and homilies. 5 homilies present in the book relate to greed, wealth, and if it is allowed to leave his wife for any reason whatsoever. Francis Maucroy was a friend of La Fontaine, and the latter subjected him everything he wrote, and there are manuscripts sheets on the assessment of Fountain Maucroy this book.
