(1) ; 231pp. (1), 2 tomes reliés en un volume.

First Edition. Telliamed is an anagram of Maillet, name of the author. Editing was done by J. Ant. Guers. The book is dedicated to Cyrano de Bergerac. Full sheepskin brown time. Back tooled raised. Part of title in red morocco. Skillful restorations, almost invisible caps and nerves. Good copy, fresh. Maillet set up in this fictional work important theses he has wrought by his geological studies in Egypt and the Arabian countries, where he was also able to see rare manuscripts of scientific theories. He thinks that the earth is actually a star and she lives by perpetual cycles that lead again to become like the sun. This treaty is also known to bring the firstfruits of the theory of Darwinian evolution, Maillet by sea origin of all living beings. Contemporaries Maillet not admire his materialistic theories, which now seem so avant-garde and revolutionary. Maillet was Consul General of France in Egypt, and he gave several books about the country whose deep knowledge transformed his vision of the origin of the earth and geological theories. --- Please note that the translation in english is done automatically, we apologize if the formulas are inaccurate.
