First Edition according Calemar cited by Tchemerzine, although the latter gives him the edition 4 Vol. 12 in the original, adding that there was a in 8 edition of the same drawing, which does not have the same collation that this edition (there are in fact three edition in 8 to the date of 1762, one known counterfeiting). It is illustrated in Figures 5 books by Charles Eisen, and engraved by Longueuil (2), Louis the Great (2) and Pasquier (1). Full Calf blond speckled time. Back with five nerves decorated with jewels and gold boxes; nerve-stamped. Part of title and volume number in light brown morocco. Net coaching Cold red plats.Tranches. Nice copy, very fresh, very much appreciated. Important work in the thought of Rousseau, it addresses the essential antagonism of nature and culture in terms of pedagogy. Emile to engage in the social contract, it must undergo a great education, the latter is discussed point by point in the book.
