Raymond POISSON Les dames galantes, ou la confidence reciproque

Raymond POISSON

Les dames galantes, ou la confidence reciproque

Chez Jean Pauli, à Amsterdam 1737, Pet. in-12 (7,5x13cm), (4) 328pp., 2 parties reliées en un volume.

Second edition after the original published in 1685, rare. Title page in red and black. Sticker printer. Velin full time. Smooth back with title struck cold black. Nice copy. Novel written during the retreat of the author and strikingly modern when it is related to the prose of Madame de Lafayette and others. Structure (like we say "drawer") and your gear firmly on the eighteenth, or even the historical situation is not an excuse for storytelling. The title of gallant ladies is definitely an editorial choice, the eponymous work Brantome was so well known. Raymond Poisson is much more famous in the seventeenth as the actor Belleroche, whose specialty was the comic roles, especially that of Crispin, including the Hotel de Bourgogne, where he played until 1685. He wrote several comic plays, his works were held in Paris, in 1687 and 1743, 2 vols. 12mo. We do not know her other fiction writings. --- Please note that the translation in english is done automatically, we apologize if the formulas are inaccurate. Contact us for any information!
