Rare first edition of the works of Sallust in Latin and Greek. Flemish contemporary vellum perfectly realized. A second portion including comments Carrione and text Sallust Greek has its own title page: In C. Sallustii crispi catilinam and iugurtham. Aldi Manutii Paul F. Scolia. Cypriani has OPMA emendetiones. In Histotiarum lib. VI ludovico Carrione suma diligentia collectos. 1574. Vignette printer Pierre de Saint André on the title page. These works of Sallust is a reprint of detainees by Aldo Manutius in Venice Greek texts. The book consists of two distinct parts, the first is a Latin translation, the second consists of comments Louis Carrion de Bruges and texts of Sallust in Greek. Louis Carrion was a specialist in the Greek language in the sixteenth century, he contributed to many editions. Editions of Sallust sixteenth seem rare, only Oxford has a similar issue, and only the Russian National Library holds three earlier works to 1500. Majority of older editions found in the libraries of the seventeenth.
