First Edition. A fold-burning before the title page line. Half time Calf. Smooth back adorned with jewels and 5 casters. Part of title in shagreen burgundy. Two snags with light gaps on either side of the top cap. Have rubbed and burnished top cap. Upper joint and split open. Lesurques is one of the most famous victims of miscarriage of justice. He was unjustly arrested because of his resemblance to the so-called Dubosc, in the case of the mail from Lyon in 1796, the famous case of robbery with murder mail. Lesurques was beheaded with COURRIOL. Dubosc finally arrested in 1798 was also performed and recognized Lesurques innocent. The family demanded for more than 60 years rehabilitating the unfortunate Lesurques but obtained only partially repaired. Salgues, taking in this book the entire case and all the evidence, is the spokesman for the unfortunate family who seeks redress for the memory of Lesurques. There will be a trial in rehabilitation in 1823 autograph dedication of the author on half-title page.
