Gautrel, a title banner by Pollain engraved by Le Pautre, 7 initials and 6 big and beautiful cul-de-lamp, as well as 6 bands storied head of chapters Pollain. Brand of printer in the title page. Rather neat edition, finely decorated and illustrated with great margins. Full sheepskin brown time. Back tooled raised. Part of title in red morocco. Caps threadbare. Upper joint cracked. 2 corners bumped. This history of Calvinism presented as a major heresy begat many complaints among Protestants; it has the form of a chronicle, from the year 1520 until the Edict of Nantes in 1598.
