New edition. Full sheepskin blonde then. Back smooth decorated with parts of title and volume numbers of black morocco, friezes starry, small irons bird and golden jewels. All slices speckled. Head cover of the second volume a little threadbare, a little bit lacking in the tail of the first volume, scuffs and corners bumped. Some very light foxing, otherwise very fresh copy. The book consists of remarks on the genius, manners and customs of the Northern Nations, but also on climates and their influences. There are also an accurate history about Lapland, Tartars, Cossacks, military orders of the Teutonic Knights and Livonian. The book also contains the history of Poland. Although the history of Prussia and the Kingdom of Courland is announced in the title, it is not included in the two volumes, which are complete and as published. History from the beginning year after year, followed by remarks on the customs, climate, customs ...
