Chez J. P. Mariette, à Paris 1744, 4 tomes en 4 Vol. pet. in 8 (9,5x17cm), xij, 596pp. (4) et (2) 493pp. et (2) 458pp. et (2) 510pp., relié.

First edition, rare. This edition should not be confused with: History Wars and negotiations which preceded the Treaty of Westphalia, the same author, published for the first time in 1727, and promised to be a preliminary to the history of the treaty. Both books will never be published together. Full speckled calf iced period. Spine ribbed ornate, tail wheels. Parts of title and volume number in red morocco. A very slight lack a head cover 5 corners a bit, but good copy, though costs more. This excelllent work of Jesuit Father Bougeant remain over the centuries the main and most reliable source for this period. These are many conflicts which inevitably led to the treaties that established a new, sustainable international system. Catholics and Protestants were not willing to meet the Swedish chose two different cities where treaties were signed, Munster and Onasbruck. The Netherlands became independent, France counted Upper Alsace and County Mezt and Toul within its territory. Finally allowed international treaties entitled to priority status. The face of Europe is found in altered for long.
