James RENNELL

Original French edition, rare, led Bouscheseiche. Without atlas containing 11 cards that are often found separately. Half green calf marbled posterior ca 1850; beautiful pastiche of a confusing time binding. Smooth back adorned with Greek and four finials. Parts of title and volume number in brown morocco. Marbled edges. Lack tail Volume 2, continuing on the flat. Beautiful copy, very elegant, and very fresh throughout. The Insspinetan extended from the Himalayas in the north to the peninsula of Malabar and Coromandel south, that is to say the majority of India at that time. The study of James Rennell is almost exclusively geographical, and only a chapter on the fall of the Great Mogul sacrifice to the historical aspect except for the introduction to the first volume on the origin of The Hindustan and the European conquests. The book was very well received in England, Rennel certainly provided accurate and helpful information to anyone would go to these countries. To complete the physical and human geography of Hindustan, the French edition has added several chapters, an introduction by Castera translated texts on the history of India, the bibliography of travelers, and which form a large part of third volume; it is interesting Journey to Tibet Samuel Turner. --- Please note that the translation in english is done automatically, we apologize if the formulas are inaccurate.
