Gregorio Leti (1630-1701) is the pseudonym of Gulio Capocoda, authors of many anti Catholic pamphlets. Capocoda converted to Protestantism and settled in Geneva. He was then the historian of Charles II in England. The story of Donna Olympia tells the story of a courtesan at the court of Rome, in fact, who would become Pope Innocent X was his half brother.
